Details
Hope CBC's AV/Tech segment of their worship team will be coming to LBC for a workshop in two sessions with Aaron.
- In Part 1 - at LBC, we'll go over in how to use the tools of the trade. The this is the technical side: Cables, inputs, signal flow, console, snake/d-snakes, etc. You'll learn how to plug stuff in to a system and make them work.
- In Part 2 - at LBC & HCBC: once things "work" in the system, how do we actually make everything sound good? This is the art side: using your ear, using reference recordings to build a mixing goal, mixing for music, mixing for speaking, choosing the right tools (from part 1) to get results that aren't just acceptable, but are excellent.
As a part of the LBChapel Worship Team, Why should you come?
1.) Doing this with Hope will help build bridges between our churches, not just doing events/services together where we sit shoulder to shoulder facing the same direction, but get some time talking with their people and sharing experiences.
2.) You'll be able to hear the challenges they face as an AV/Tech team and understand the context of worship production outside of our specific context.
3.) Whether or not you're on the AV team, learning the basics of live sound will help you build an appreciation for the work that goes into being a part of that team. This will also you know how to answer the questions, and set your best foot forward working with AV when you're on stage or otherwise...and just maybe you'll be able to fill in some gaps if needed!
